What Happens after the Update License Expires?

Depending on the device, 1 or 2 years of updates are included. Once the license has expired, the device continues to work — you simply cannot download new updates and the online functions will be deactivated. You can purchase a new update whenever you feel it is necessary; there are no additional costs if you skip 1 or 2 years.



Caution when Buying from eBay or other Cheap Providers!!!

WARNING!!!

Recently, so-called “professional diagnostic devices” are being offered more frequently. These devices are mostly sold without complete software or German language support. In many cases, the devices are IP-restricted and can only be operated within Germany. Counterfeits from China with pirated software are also being sold.

Customers of such providers call us daily in desperation, reporting damaged vehicles, fried control units, or even wiring fires in their customers’ vehicles.

For this reason, we have put together a checklist of what you should look out for:

  • Always insist on a proper invoice including the legally required VAT.
  • We offer you a minimum of 12 months warranty, which is of course handled directly through us.
  • Pay attention to devices with a clearly identifiable serial number and an original seal.
  • We hereby explicitly distance ourselves from counterfeits offered at dumping prices with inferior quality. These devices cause damage to your vehicle!
